Second Annual Corgi Cup Returns to Saratoga This Sunday
Forget the thoroughbreds—this Sunday, August 16, Saratoga Race Course is handing the spotlight to some much shorter, fluffier athletes for the second annual Corgi Cup! Corgis from around the country will converge on the Spa to put their tiny legs and enormous personalities to the test, with qualifying races leading to a 10-dog championship finale and last year’s winner, Sam, back to defend his crown.
Gates open at 11a with and the first horse racing post time is 1:10p and six corgi races to happen on the main track between regular horse races, with the winning pup getting a proper trip to the Saratoga winner’s circle. Bring the family, prepare for serious cuteness, and remember: at the Corgi Cup, the competition may be fierce, but the legs are definitely not.
