The Moreau Community Center will celebrate a major milestone with its
first-ever 50th Anniversary Gala on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 6 to 10
p.m. at The Queensbury Hotel.
The evening will bring together former staff, volunteers, board members,
program participants, community leaders, and supporters to honor five
decades of service while helping invest in the Center's future.
Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour featuring entertainment donated by Crick
and Tuck, followed by dinner and special presentations. Assemblywoman
Carrie Woerner, Father Tony Childs, and community storytellers will share
reflections on the Center's impact over the past 50 years.
The gala will also support the Center's "Help Lift Us Up!" Capital Campaign.
Earlier this year, the organization was awarded a $712,000 BRICKS grant to
improve accessibility and preserve the facility for future generations. To
secure the funding, the Center must raise approximately $200,000 in
matching funds. Planned improvements include a fully accessible elevator,
ADA-accessible restrooms, and a new roof.
"This gala is both a celebration of our remarkable history and an investment
in our future," said Executive Director Donna Nichols.
Tickets are $150 per person or $125 for guests age 60 and older. Tickets may
